Kami-Con has come around once again (actually, it's a few months early, but no one's complainin~)
This year went by.. too fast. It's already Tuesday! (Well, the time passing might be from being in Atlanta all day Sunday and sleeping almost all day Monday..)
Sleeping all day Monday is caused by staying up almost every single night (slept for a few hours Thursday) working on stuff.
So. Yeah. Kami. From the beginning..
Pre-reg line was looong, and apparently some people had to wait for a few hours, too.
Found the Yuyuko that I spoke to before the con~
Opening Ceremonies was AWESOME like always. They played the first LK video along with the usual anime OP parody for the staff (This year was Death Note).
The skit for the story was funny. Glad they had Tenshi (Angel Beats!) and Elsie (The World God Only Knows)! And the appearance for TOM (Toonami robot) was awesome.
What made the OC even sweeter, the Conchair proposed to his girlfriend (Con VP and Elsie cosplayer) on stage, in front of about 2000 folks.
I don't think I actually did anything this year.. Even though I had it all planned out, I only really went to the Touhou panel, Cosplay Contest, and the Eyeshine panel.
The Touhou panel was mostly for beginners/learning about Touhou.
Left that early for the Cosplay Contest, which had a few funny skits (the Tentacruel and Bleach ones mostly).
The Eyeshine panel was great, too. They sang songs about Ichigo ("I play a guy named Ichigo - His hair is orange - I still don't get why they call it Bleach"), a girl in the audience about thinking her chair is sexy, and another guy asking for a song about him ("Why are you so selfish?")
By that time, I had nearly fallen sleep (no sleep for a week, I think it'll do that..)
So, I bought a little Yui figurine (so tiny!) and was THIS CLOSE (imagine my fingers being about an inch apart) to getting a Mio Nendoroid, but it was $45 and I had $36 at the time.. (now imagine my fist shaking up to the air...)
The cosplayers were pretty cool. There were Touhou cosplayers! We got a group picture (only four of us). There was a Cirno, Yuyuko, and Bromiji (male Momiji, for those who might've thought that was the name..), and a Suwako (me).
It's not just my Sheezys anymore, now Homestuck is in my Kami-Cons! There were three Homestuck cosplayers, the characters I have no idea who they were, but I recognized them from the style.
Two Angels Beats! cosplayers (I couldn't talk to the TK, but I saw him in the Prereg line) and the Tenshi was in the OC.
A few Naruto, Soul Eater, Bleach, the usual. I really didn't expect an Elsie (TWGOK) cosplay though!
Went to Replays afterward, like we always do when we're in Tuscaloosa.
And that's about all.
The few pictures I took are gonna be up on FB whenever I get around to it. Sometime this week, though.
